Who is Henderson and who does he play for? Don't think Sherran, Kemp or Simpson are playing the first half of the season. Seccul and Pollard will probably miss some early games as well Simpson, Pollard depends on how clubs fair, could be June Sherren done shoulder from Vic Indoor back end of May Kemp long season and wedding, triathalon so eased back in Rd 6 to be fresh for finals tilt. Seccull huge Indoor campaign in Europe. Back from club outdoor in England last week of March. Gilmour and GK away climbing Everest ? back Mid March. Interesting approach to preseason. Coach has had the balance in his gym for months. Hear Haw and Greensborough smashing the preseason. Any other reports? Any recruits? Clubs just going with what they have got? Any prac match scores?

I'm predicting that Powerhouse will walk to the minor premiership. Just wondering who was in charge of the fixturing for the upcoming season? I've heard it was Ben Seccull? Powerhouse only play 3 games against teams from the top six of the 2016 season in their first 15 matches...This also corresponds with when they'll be missing players overseas etc... and only 2 games against those top six in the first 10 matches... And only play one top six team from 2016 twice, Hawthorn. Hawthorn TEM ESS MUHC SUHC MUHC Altona Mentone Bye Waverley Altona Camberwell Footscray Yarra MCC Juicy...

My predictions as follows: Top Tier 1. Camberwell: Too strong all over the park. Will be interesting to see how they play for KA. 2. Greensborough: Return to the status quo. 3. Powerhouse: Strong first XV but don't see them having the necessary depth. 4. Hawthorn- Will play some exciting hockey. Every chance to push higher. Second Tier 5. Doncaster: Kiran and McBride missing will hurt but do have more depth than others around the mark. 6. Waverley: About time they start to deliver. Is Steinfort the most overrated player in Premier League? 7. MCC: Will grind out results as per usual. 8. Altona: Definitely could finish higher. The rest: 9. Southern United - L'Hullier not playing this year (or so the rumours say), Waseem a big in. Still will need a more consistent path to goal. 10. Footscray - the cupboard is looking bare but still have enough good players to drag them over some. 11. MUHC - Luscombe, Wookey and imports. Good core. 12. Mentone - They have a deep squad... just don't think they have the top line players to do any more damage than this. 13. Essendon - Will need their youngsters to step up to finish higher. 14. TEM - Will be fit and discplined. Just don't see them scoring enough to win many. 15. Yarra style of hockey needs to change dramatically. Long balls won't work here. Nostra --- Matt Steinfort > Lachlan Steinfort

That doesn't look good if anyone from PH was involved. Teams they play twice:
2. HAW 8. ALT 9. ESS 10.SUHC 12.MUHC 13.MENT
PH play 1 team from last year’s top 7 twice! Don play 2 of the top 7 twice Cam play 3 of the top 7 twice Haw play 3 of the top 7 twice and 4 of the top 8 twice. Green play 4 of the top 7 twice, 5 of the top 9 twice and none of the bottom 4 twice.
Creating the fixture is difficult but for PH to get a cushy start while they are missing players and then to get the softest draw of those that finished top 5 is interesting. If it is done logically either the minor premier/premier should have the easiest draw of the top 5 or the 5th team should have the easiest draw. PH finished 3rd and then ended up runner up after finals.

It was explained to me as clubs Mens and womens sides are paired and draw based on the combined ranking after last years result, would see Haw one, Camb two etc, higher that is harder the draw after playing each other once. As PH doesnt have WPL they are paired with Kew women, pushes PH down the rankings and assume pushes Kew women up. Lower ranked teams have easier starts I believe would explain PH start. Can see some sense in the system as most clubs men and women will play together most weeks. Then draw done randomly within the constraints of ranking. Appears PH also have bye last round to freshen up. I may be wrong but that was how it was explained The draw is the draw with 8 teams in finals all a bit irellevant. Best teams will get the points needed and the the form teams should make last 4. Formline would say Camberwell v PH final and in Women Hawthorn v who know?

If Pollard and Seccul are both in England why is one back in March and the other June? Kemp wont play rd6 Plan I heard from Greens was Josh Pollard to play in Netherlands then got some Aussie games so had to switch to England. His team looks like finishing bottom of their league so would have to play relegation series after season and maybe travel with Fiancé after? If I was in Europe wouldnt be rushing back Seccull playing Outdoor in different league finishing earlier as high on the ladder apparently, assume to be back for before HV season? Apparently was over there for Indoor according to PH social media. Had Aus indoor tour and plays each year for top club in English and Euro Indoor Championship. Dont know anything about Kemp, what is story there, is he injured? Do Other teams have players OS or missing for first part of season? Any clubs got any OS recruits? Nothing on the forum.

Am I right in saying a few Spaniards will be wearing, the sky blue, navy and red this year?

Who did TEM play? Are the spaniards there yet? Played Altona , lost 4-0 They were not running a full team with names missing. In MPLR, TEM went down 3-4 in an even contest and had 3 juniors filling in who did well.
